For the first time in decades, a retrospective of Albert Wein's body of work is on view at the Boston Athenaeum, September 17-November 29, 2008. The exhibition will highlight Wein's mastery of two very different styles, classical and modern, and will be accompanied by the first major monograph on the artist's life and work. |
During his lifetime, Wein was a prolific artist creating a number of sculptures and paintings in many mediums. Some of these works remain in situ, many were sold to private collectors, and others remain in the inventory of the Albert Wein Estate.
